The little pockets on the outer calf are actually functional, not just decorative, and I've been keeping my keys and lip balm in them all week. The detachable nylon straps were a nice surprise too, since I can swap them out depending on the outfit.

I wore these to a festival and actually used the pockets for my phone and cards instead of hauling a bag around all day. The detachable nylon bits come off easy if you want a cleaner look, and the mid-calf height keeps them feeling secure.

The utility straps are genuinely useful—I clipped my keys to one and haven't lost them since. The detachable nylon accessories make this boot feel like two different pairs, and the mid-calf height is perfect with jeans.
